Edmonton Wedding Planner: Jenilee + John
Jenilee and John’s intimate backyard tent wedding came together with just a few months of planning. We worked together to design a day that would allow them to share their vows in front of their closest friends and family, then celebrate with a candlelit dinner and dance party under the stars. Guests were served a gourmet family style meal by the Culina Team, while enjoying custom cocktails crafted by Strong Bartending.

Edmonton Wedding Coordinator: Arianna + Tom
Arianna and Tom didn’t miss a single detail when planning and designing their wedding at St. Joachim Catholic Church and The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald. From their church exit into a floral adorned vintage car to their cigar and bourbon bar on the Empire Terrace, every moment of the day was personalized and well thought out.

Alessandra + Daniel’s wedding brought two big, loving families together. With both Italian and Portuguese heritages there were a few must-haves: open bar, great food and a killer dance party!
After a traditional ceremony at the iconic St. Joseph’s Basilica, the couple and their wedding party had a blast taking photos with Katch Studios before joining their guests at The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald.
Ale + Danny wanted a timeless wedding design with a dash of glamour and high fashion. Using a palette of gold, cream and black, we dressed the tables with champagne and off-white linens, ornate gold charger plates, three different styles of white floral centrepieces – and of course, ample candlelight.
After dinner and toasts the killer dance party ensued, and it certainly did not disappoint! Enjoy this look back at a gorgeous day celebrating a beautiful couple, inside and out.

Exposed brick and wooden beams offer character and warmth with little décor required. Perfect for couples who love to celebrate, the festivities can continue until 3:00am after a 2:00am bar closure. Holds up to 100 guests for a seated meal.

Set in historic Fort Edmonton, the Blatchford Hangar’s tall wood beam ceilings and concrete floors give this space a trendy warehouse vibe. The large hangar doors open up to an expansive green space, making it a perfect venue for summer weddings. No B-list required – the Hangar accommodates up to 450 guests.

With floor to ceiling windows, Shaw Conference Centre’s Riverview Room (cap: 130) and Hall D (cap: 1000) offer stunning views of Edmonton’s river valley, providing a gorgeous backdrop in every season. Clean lines and modern styling make Shaw’s spaces easy to personalize with décor, and you can have a corkage bar for weddings (a huge plus, especially for larger celebrations).

Best Wedding Dessert Tables
Dessert tables have been a popular feature at wedding receptions over the past few years. This trend began with candy tables and has evolved to include a couple’s favourite sweets and desserts, such as doughnuts, cookies, cupcakes and pies. We’ve also done frozen yogurt and ice cream bars, custom chocolate truffle stations and popcorn displays!
Why do we love this trend?
- Sweet tables are a great way to personalize your reception, showcasing your tastes as a couple. Think out-of-the-box to your childhood favourites or desserts from your heritage.
- Use a dessert bar to reflect your reception design, adding an element of décor to the space.
- Rather than giving away individual guest favours, instead invest that budget in a fun dessert table that guests can enjoy all evening.

Edmonton Wedding Planner: Anita + Ben
Anita + Ben’s wedding was our largest to date (prior to 2016), with 525 guests in attendance! In the morning, traditional Chinese tea ceremonies were held at both family homes, followed by the wedding ceremony and reception in Shaw Conference Centre’s Hall D.
The design dress blended a romantic colour palette with modern geometric shapes – elements that were carried through from the luxurious stationery to the head table backdrop and DJ booth. Because of the large guest list, we used four table designs to create an interesting layout and add dimension to the space. The tables were mixed rectangles and rounds, and each design featured different linens, place settings, chairs and centrepieces.
Self-proclaimed food lovers, Anita + Ben wanted to include some unique sweet & savoury stations for guests to enjoy. Their friends and family were treated to a selection of scrumptious Moonshine Doughnuts, Tutti Frutti frozen yogurt station, along with a potato chip bar!

Inspiration to Reality: Anita + Ben
Anita + Ben’s wedding design blended a romantic colour palette with modern geometric shapes. Beginning with their invitations, we worked with Pinkpolka to develop patterns that had an edgy, unique look while using materials and colours that were timeless and romantic. This inspired us to tie the geometric shapes into their ceremony and head table backdrops, a custom DJ booth, as well as the wedding cake.
