Dessert tables have been a popular feature at wedding receptions over the past few years. This trend began with candy tables and has evolved to include a couple’s favourite sweets and desserts, such as doughnuts, cookies, cupcakes and pies. We’ve also done frozen yogurt and ice cream bars, custom chocolate truffle stations and popcorn displays!

Why do we love this trend?

• Sweet tables are a great way to personalize your reception, showcasing your tastes as a couple. Think out-of-the-box to your childhood favourites or desserts from your heritage.
• Use a dessert bar to reflect your reception design, adding an element of décor to the space.
• Rather than giving away individual guest favours, instead invest that budget in a fun dessert table that guests can enjoy all evening.

Melissa + Trevor contacted us almost two years before their Canmore wedding weekend. Living in Fort McMurray, they wanted to ensure they had lots of time to enjoy the process and weren’t rushed with meetings and bookings. It was such a pleasure working with this sweet, easy-going couple!

Their guests were travelling from all over Canada, so Melissa + Trevor wanted to ensure the priority for the weekend was a FUN, relaxing experience for their family and friends. We lucked out with perfect weather all weekend, and their dream of an outdoor ceremony in the mountains came true! Both ceremony and reception were held at Canmore Nordic Centre.

Carly + Taylor’s Canmore wedding at Silvertip Resort combined their love of the mountains, winter and rustic elegance.

Set against a gorgeous stone fireplace covered in a garland of greens and lush roses, their ceremony was romantic and touching. The most adorable team of flower girls and ring bearers added to the sweetness!

We covered the tables in a soft grey linen and added wooden chiavari chairs for an elegant touch that complemented the wooden beams of the venue. Carly and her mom collected and stained wooden crates to use as centrepieces, and touches of lace and organic elements provided the perfect combination of rustic and pretty.
