Edmonton Wedding Planner: Allena + Jamie
When we first met with Allena + Jamie, it was clear we’d be a great fit to work together and that it would be a fun year ahead of planning and designing their dream wedding. Always positive and upbeat, their zest for life shone through in every decision made for the wedding, with their top priorities being a fun weekend for their guests and jaw-dropping décor.
The overall design direction was inspired by the ceremony venue – Rainer Gardens. The gardens featured an existing stone structure at the altar, so we designed a lavish floral wall to create a unique and luxurious backdrop for the vows. Despite the unseasonably cold weather for August, the rain held off and the ceremony proceeded outdoors as planned!
Guests made their way to Oasis Centre for the reception, where show-stopping custom witch hazel centrepieces and lighting in morphing tones of pinks, blues and purples brought the Opulent Enchanted Garden theme to life.
Featured on the WedLuxe blog, Allena + Jamie’s wedding was also a top 3 finalist for a 2016 Canadian Special Events Star Award in the Best Wedding Over $75K category!

Destination ‘I Do’ Wedding Series: Kelowna, British Columbia
Spanning from the Shuswap lakes in south-central British Columbia to the southern-most border town of Osoyoos, the Okanagan is home to world renowned wines and wineries, breathtaking golf courses, deep blue lakes and vast pine forests.
Daily WestJet flights from Edmonton to Kelowna makes it a quick and easy destination for your guests. Plus, Kelowna boasts a dry, sunny climate with average temperatures above 20 degrees from early May through the end of September.

Edmonton Wedding Coordinator: Tiara + Ricky
We first met Tiara when she attended one of our wedding planning workshops, and we were thrilled when she and Ricky decided they wanted our help to ensure their wedding day ran smoothly. You couldn’t meet a more kind or caring couple, and after getting to know their families it came as no surprise why these two are such a great match.
Matrix Hotel in downtown Edmonton served as the backdrop to their special day, with both ceremony and reception held at the venue. Tiara + Ricky chose to do a ‘first look’ and take their photos before the ceremony, setting the tone for a relaxed and fun-filled day. After a delicious meal and some hilarious speeches, guests celebrated until the early hours of the morning with an epic dance party!
Tiara + Ricky’s wedding is featured in the Fall/Winter 2016 issue of WeddingBells Magazine – what a perfect memento of such a lovely day!

Destination ‘I Do’ Wedding Series: West Coast Canada
The term destination wedding typically evokes images of a sandy ceremony in a sunny locale. But you don’t have to look too far to find amazing coastal destinations right here in Canada.
Located on Vancouver Island, Victoria is the capital of British Columbia. Victoria has long been known as the ‘City of Gardens’ with it’s countless formal gardens, parks and extensive bike trails throughout the city and surrounding area. With its charming character and laidback vibe, it’s easy to see why Victoria has received accolades as the ‘Most Romantic City in Canada’.
Pender Island is one of the Southern Gulf Islands along the Pacific Coast, and let me tell you, it’s spectacular. From the vast blue Pacific Ocean to lush green landscapes, your wedding photos will be incredible. Quaint and unspoiled, Pender Island can be accessed daily via ferry, seaplane or water taxi.

Destination ‘I Do’ Wedding Series: Los Cabos, Mexico
We love Los Cabos as a wedding destination and have been fortunate to plan several there over the past few years. Why?
- Proximity to Western Canada – Cabo is a quick (direct!) flight from Alberta.
- Picturesque views – from expansive desserts to aqua blue waters, a gorgeous marina and the famous El Arco, your wedding photos will be incredible
- Climate – Cabo has very consistent weather. It is generally warm and dry, not humid. Average temperatures range from 19°C – 30°C.
- People – the local vendors are so warm and welcoming, it makes the destination wedding planning process smooth and enjoyable.

Los Cabos Wedding Planning + Design
Edmonton Wedding Planner: Desiree + Alfred
Timeless, elegant and full of luxe details, Desiree and Al’s summer wedding took place at two of our favourite Edmonton venues. The classically beautiful ceremony was held in Hotel Macdonald’s Wedgwood Room, and the contemporary Art Gallery of Alberta set the stage for the evening festivities. Fittingly, Desiree wore two dazzling Pnina Tornai dresses: a formal ballgown for the ceremony and a fitted evening gown for the reception.
These two are so sweet and caring, and the entire day was filled with love radiating from their wedding party, families and friends (who sure know how to party)!
DQ Studios captured the day beautifully, and A Love Story put together this awesome highlight film of the day.

Edmonton Wedding Planner: Charlotte + Frantz, Part 1
Charlotte + Frantz were married in an intimate ceremony at The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald. They wanted to exchange vows in front of their immediate families, sharing the sacred moment with their most important supporters. They recited their own vows, which were so beautiful and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. I feel so honoured to have shared in this special moment with them.
Months later, they would celebrate with an ultra-modern reception at the Art Gallery of Alberta – more to come in Part 2!

Edmonton Wedding Coordinator: Leanna + Mark
This spring we had the honour of providing Wedding Day Management services to Leanna + Mark for their Fairmont Hotel Macdonald wedding.
Leanna was a vision in a classically draped gown topped with an exquisite jeweled bolero by Hayley Paige. After their ‘first look’ photos with Sharon Litchfield, the bridal party made their way to the Empire Terrace for a beautiful outdoor ceremony in front of an intimate group of Leanna + Mark’s family and friends.
The evening was filled with surprise musical performances, including an opera performance by the Master of Ceremonies, and a beautiful violin performance by Mark for his new bride accompanied by his brother on the baby grand piano.
It was a day of pure elegance filled with much love and support for Leanna + Mark! See more of this lovely day in the current issue of Blush Magazine and on Sharon Litchfield’s blog.
