Edmonton Wedding Planner: Danijela + Zoran
Danijela + Zoran were married on a perfect fall day. The leaves were a beautiful golden yellow and the sun was shining with blue skies.
Both from Serbian heritage, they wanted a timeless, elegant wedding that included some of their shared cultural traditions. After a traditional ceremony at Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. John, guests made their way to Chateau Lacombe hotel in downtown Edmonton, where the ballroom sparkled with champagne and gold accents against a neutral ivory and taupe palette.

Scottsdale Wedding Planner: Paula + Sheldon
Arizona is a popular vacation and winter home destination for many Albertans – why not celebrate your wedding in the warm, dry heat with spectacular sunsets and stunning desert backdrops?!
Paula + Sheldon did just that. To celebrate their love and unite their two families, they decided to host a destination wedding experience in one of their favorite locations: Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North. A luxury hotel nestled in the foothills of Pinnacle Peak, this has been a special place since they first met, and was a natural choice for their wedding weekend location.
Friday kicked off the weekend events with an early morning golf tournament at The Boulders Golf Club – one of the top 12 golf resorts in the world. Later that evening, we welcomed guests with a casual Cowboy Cookout at Proof Restaurant overlooking the McDowell Mountains. Attendees were encouraged to wear western attire, and the menu was rich with hearty southwestern favorites.
The wedding day arrived with clear blue skies and sunshine. The ceremony was held outdoors on the Four Seasons Troon Lawn overlooking a picturesque desert scene. Immediately following the ceremony, guests were served drinks and canapés on a nearby terrace while the lawn was transformed for dinner. At the reception guests enjoyed a 4-course meal and several heartfelt toasts. As a surprise for the groom from his bride, we arranged for a spectacular fireworks display timed perfectly after one minute of their first dance outdoors under the stars!
Still brimming with excitement after the fireworks spectacle, guests were ushered into the Ironwood Ballroom for the after-party, where music from top Arizona DJs Desert House Productions filled the ballroom with expectant energy. Flooded with pink, orange and purple lighting, the space was designed to convey a desert sunset, signifying the end to an amazing weekend of events.

Lindsay + Ben are such a sweet couple. Their October wedding day was filled with big, warm smiles from all their family and friends. I just love the look on Ben’s face as he sees Lindsay walk down the aisle at St. Albert Catholic Parish!
Their timeless ivory and gold reception at Matrix Hotel featured a killer candy bar and amazing entertainment – duelling pianists Jesse Peters and Tiff Hall kept guests on the dance floor all night!

Victoria Wedding Planner: Megan + Peter
Two of my closest friends were married in Victoria last fall, and I had the honour of playing double duty as wedding planner and guest! The seaside ceremony and intimate reception were held at Brentwood Bay Resort & Spa – a luxurious getaway named one of the Top 10 Resorts in Canada by Condé Nast Traveler.

Edmonton Wedding Planner: Katrina + David
Katrina + David were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony last summer at Edmonton’s Royal Glenora Club. The sun was shining, the skies were blue – you’d never guess there was a torrential downpour just one hour before the ceremony was scheduled to begin! Luckily with some great teamwork we swapped out the chair cushions just in time to seat guests and send Katrina down the aisle looking absolutely angelic.
Just For You Photography was on hand to capture all the beautiful moments of the day, including the couple’s “first look” at The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald. After the wedding Katrina + David enjoyed an amazing honeymoon in Italy!

Chock full of personal details and unique touches, it’s no surprise that Alexis + Tom’s charming summer wedding was featured in the latest issue of Blush Magazine.
The entire celebration was held at Christ Church – a beautiful 1920s church in the heart of downtown Edmonton that looks like it belongs in Europe! An intimate late afternoon ceremony flowed right into an outdoor cocktail hour complete with delicious appetizers, lawn games and an assortment of refreshing drinks such as cucumber water and strawberry lemonade.
At the reception guests were treated to a decadent family style dinner catered by Culina and an illustrious dessert table full of cakes and pies made with love by family members.
Her keen eye and love for bicycles made Blake Loates the perfect fit to photograph this wedding! Enjoy a glimpse of Alexis + Tom’s big day below.

Edmonton Wedding Planner: Catherine + Neal
Catherine + Neal’s Royal Mayfair Golf Club wedding was recently featured in Edmonton’s own Bridal Fantasy Magazine.
They chose to incorporate traditions from both of their backgrounds. Neal and his groomsmen wore Scottish kilts and his grandmother gave a blessing in Gaelic before dinner. To represent Catherine’s Polish side, perogies and cabbage rolls were served at the rehearsal dinner and the marriage commissioner said a few words in Polish before the ceremony began. A very unique element of the ceremony was a Celtic handfasting using the official tartans of Alberta and Nova Scotia, representing the bride and groom’s places of birth.
Their favourite moment of the day? “Seeing each other for the first time was both awesome and hilarious. The anticipation and excitement is so evident in the photos. Our other favourite part was listening to everyone’s speeches. Each of them was so heartfelt and funny – we felt very special.”
