Betty and Harry’s love story led them to Jasper, where they celebrated their wedding with an intimate group of their closest family and friends at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. They said their I Do’s on the Lakefront Ridge, incorporating both their cultures: a Chinese tea ceremony and a Greek crowning ceremony.

We designed a long table dinner outside the Milligan Manor, which encapsulated the feeling of a beautiful backyard wedding in the mountains. What you don’t see in these beautiful photos was the little rain cloud that moved in just 30 minutes before dinner was to start! Luckily, the JBW and Fairmont teams were there to save the al fresco reception and quickly dry off chairs before guests sat down to enjoy a delicious 5-course meal with wine pairings.

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Wedding Planning + Design

Set in the charming Alberta countryside, Danielle and Jason’s wedding was held on a warm summer day at The Whitewood Barn just outside of Edmonton.

After a ‘first look’ and taking photos with their wedding party, they exchanged rings and vows in a quaint clearing of pine trees adorned with café lights and rustic wooden benches. Guitarist Jeff Ramsey serenaded guests while they sipped bubbly from a boxwood champagne wall, and enjoyed tasty hors d’oeuvres by Stir Catering. After dinner, guests danced the night away under string lights and country stars.

Whitewood Barn Edmonton Wedding Planner

We first met Tiara when she attended one of our wedding planning workshops, and we were thrilled when she and Ricky decided they wanted our help to ensure their wedding day ran smoothly. You couldn’t meet a more kind or caring couple, and after getting to know their families it came as no surprise why these two are such a great match.

Matrix Hotel in downtown Edmonton served as the backdrop to their special day, with both ceremony and reception held at the venue. Tiara + Ricky chose to do a ‘first look’ and take their photos before the ceremony, setting the tone for a relaxed and fun-filled day. After a delicious meal and some hilarious speeches, guests celebrated until the early hours of the morning with an epic dance party!

These two high school sweethearts are truly made for one another. Julie lights up a room when she enters – she’s a bundle of energy and positivity, always wearing a huge smile on her face. Kyle is a calming presence – very kind and patient, but still knows how to let loose and have fun. It was such a pleasure working with this duo to bring their special day to life!

After a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Parish, Julie + Kyle’s guests made their way to Fort Edmonton Park where the Hangar was staged for the perfect rustic, summer soirée. The big open space allowed kids to run free, while the summer breeze blew in to cool guests down on a warm September day.

Lush floral garlands in warm tones of peach, coral, yellow and blush were swagged down the aisle and hung behind the head table. Antlers, succulents and wooden logs brought the outdoors in, enhancing the organic, natural ambiance of the setting. {More on the inspiration behind this wedding design here!}

We surrounded a large wooden dance floor with cocktail tables, benches and tree stump stools to keep everyone engaged with the party. Once the dance was underway, La Poutine food truck pulled up just outside the Hangar doors to serve the perfect Canadiana late night snack!
