Stephanie and Senate’s wedding was the perfect fusion of high style and playful spirit. Hosted at the JW Marriott Edmonton, the celebration balanced formal elegance with a joyful palette of pastels — a reflection of the couple’s vibrant personalities and love for modern design.

Colourful blooms took centre stage, bringing a sense of whimsy and movement to the space. The artful tablescapes came to life with a mix of bud vases, fruit, candlelight, and custom stationery. Some of the standout details included a lush floral cloud beneath the 3-tier blue wedding cake, and a custom-built seating display that welcomed guests into the reception.

Set against the natural beauty of the Alberta countryside, Brandy and Kyle’s spring wedding at Black Barn was intimate, relaxed and full of charm — a perfect reflection of their down-to-earth connection.

With a soft palette of white, dusty blue and fresh greenery, we embraced the rustic warmth of the venue while elevating the space with refined, garden-inspired details. The ceremony took place outdoors beneath a wooden arbour, surrounded by sweeping prairie views. Inside the barn, guests were welcomed into a romantic setting featuring dainty florals, an airy tablescape, and a stunning rattan chandelier installation. Verdant greenery cascaded from the ceiling beams, bringing the outdoors in and creating a sense of natural whimsy.

From the heartfelt ceremony to a lively evening of celebration, Brandy and Kyle’s day was a beautiful reminder that simplicity — when done with intention — is nothing short of magical.

Amy and Martin’s wedding day was a beautiful reflection of their calm, grounded energy. Opting for an intimate ceremony with just their immediate families at the historic UofA Arts Building, the couple created space for meaningful connection before joining their full guest list at the Royal Glenora Club for a relaxed and elegant reception.

In line with their laid-back personalities and desire for a day that felt effortless and unfussy, we designed the reception with a clean, classic green and white palette, accented by soft linens and natural wood textures – including gorgeous Wishbone chairs. Floor-to-ceiling windows flooded the space with natural light and offered sweeping views of Edmonton’s River Valley, while organic floral arrangements brought in texture and depth without feeling overdone.

Amy honoured her South Asian heritage with mehndi, and Martin’s mom made a traditional Danish wedding cake — a personal touch that added even more heart to the celebration. From beginning to end, the day was authentic, beautiful and full of love.

• Provide hands-on support during event set-up, execution, and teardown.
• Assist with marketing and PR initiatives, including blogging, social media posts / reels, publication submissions and other activities to promote and publicize the company.
• Provide general administrative support as required.

Qualifications:

• A passion for weddings and events, with some experience in event planning and/or transferrable skills and experience from a related field, such as customer service, marketing or digital media.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and long hours during event days.
• A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Claudia and Liz’s destination wedding at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge radiated beauty – both of the scenery and their love for one another. Over 100 of their nearest and dearest travelled from across Canada to celebrate them in late September, an absolutely stunning time of year in the Rocky Mountains.

Their outdoor ceremony was set in front of the glistening turquoise waters of Lac Beauvert on Whistlers Plateau, and they dined and danced in the Golf Clubhouse with both a band and DJ keeping guests on their feet all night long!

Jasper Wedding Planner, Destination Wedding Planner

Residing in Toronto, Jocelyn and Naheed wanted to host a destination wedding in the majestic Rockies to bring together their loved ones from across the country (and beyond). The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge fit the bill as the perfect venue for their weekend of events.

• The weekend kicked off with a welcome event held in the Golf Clubhouse, complete with live music and a food truck serving sweet treats and traditional East African delights.
• The next morning, Jocelyn and her crew had their Mehndi done while enjoying brunch. Guests joined them on the lawn of the Stanley Thompson Cabin to partake in the Pithi and Mandvo – traditional Ismaili ceremonies held before the wedding to bless the couple with well wishes.
• Everyone donned their best lehengas and Indian suits for the evening Sangeet held in a clearspan tent on Beauvert Plateau. Set right in front of the lake, the colourful decor and attire made for spectacular photos as DJ Double J brought the party!
• Saturday was reserved for an outdoor ceremony held on Whistlers Plateau, with both western and Ismaili rituals. The evening Gala followed in Beauvert Ballroom and featured a 4-course meal, heartfelt toasts. The Rondel Roberts Band and Double J alternated sets keeping guests on the dance floor into the early hours of the morning!
• Sunday morning brunch wrapped up the incredible weekend.

It was certainly challenging planning a multi-event destination wedding during the pandemic (to say the least!), but it all turned out phenomenally. We are especially grateful to Jocelyn, Naheed and their families for being so wonderful to work with and such kind, gracious humans.

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Wedding Planner

For C+B, The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is not just a beautiful mountain resort. It holds special meaning in their relationship, as it is where they first met while attending a conference as University students. Ten years later, they chose to hold their wedding here – on Valentine’s Day. It doesn’t get more romantic than that!

For privacy reasons we aren’t sharing any photos of the happy couple and their guests, but we wanted to showcase some of the gorgeous décor we designed, and acknowledge the talented team of event professionals who helped bring this day to life.

• The luxurious custom invitation and stationery suite by Palettera featured gold foil application and letterpress printing, with custom illustrations of places of significance to their love story. The invitations were delivered in gorgeous boxes lined with red rose paper and finished with satin ribbon.
• Guest tables were dressed in cream overlays with embroidered appliques, giving a soft and romantic look to the Beauvert Ballroom. Natural Manzanita tree centrepieces designed by fabLOOMosity twinkled with gold votives that hung from the branches, while a base of hydrangea and lush garden roses spilled onto the tables. Pearl glass charger plates, cranberry napkins and letterpress menus completed each setting.
• The 18-person wedding party sat at a dramatic King’s Table covered in a lush floral tablescape of textural greens, cream and burgundy blooms, and ample candlelight.
• The Art of Cake designed a gorgeous four-tier cake covered in hand-sculpted gold petals.

Violeta + Barry were married at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge on a hot and sunny weekend last summer. Violeta’s energy and enthusiasm is off the charts, while Barry is the epitomy of calm, cool and collected. They balance one another perfectly, which made the planning process a lot of fun!

The couple decided to make a weekend out of their destination wedding celebration dress and included some additional events for guests to enjoy and get to know one another. The day before the wedding guests enjoyed a fun golf tournament at the Jasper Park Lodge Golf Course – the number one rated resort course in Canada. Following the tournament, the couple held an informal “meet and greet” barbecue to relax with their friends and family in the beautiful setting.

On the big day, the scene at Whistler’s Plateau was absolutely stunning. The combination of Lac Beauvert’s sparkling green water and the majestic Rockies made for the perfect, natural backdrop for the outdoor ceremony. After the happy couple exchanged vows, guests made their way to the Beauvert Room for the reception. The head table featured a showstopping tablescape which epitomized rustic elegance: lanterns, driftwood, candlelight and an abundance of lush florals and ferns.

Guests enjoyed a fabulous 5-star buffet dinner and midnight snack featuring fresh cut French fries, which were a huge hit. As many children were in attendance, Vio + Barry created a “kids’ zone” which included supervised games, activities and movies. The kids had plenty to keep them busy while their parents danced the night away!
