Edmonton Wedding Day Coordinator: Amanda + Kelly
Amanda + Kelly’s wedding day was filled with love, laughter and a lot of rain – oh, and a little snow too! Both the ceremony and reception were held at the Executive Royal Inn West Edmonton, and the ballroom looked beautiful in purple and gold accentuated by tall dendrobium orchid arrangements.
I had the pleasure of working with two very talented photographers: Tricia from Tricia Moskal Photography and Bruce from Moments in Digital. Tricia and Bruce did a great job of capturing the details of the day and the happy friends and family who were there to celebrate Amanda + Kelly’s love.
Special thanks to my assistant Krista for helping wherever needed, and to Laura and Micheline for assisting with the ceremony setup.

Congratulations Amanda + Kelly! I wish you and your families the very best in the future.

Four Weddings Inspiration Board
Thanks for your wonderful participation in the Four Weddings series over the last month! This was a lot of fun, and I hope you’re excited to see the final Inspiration Board that I put together based on your votes.
The theme for this board started to develop after the first post, Four Dresses, where you voted for the stunning Sunday Rose gown by Monique Lhuillier. The soft, ruffled roses give the gown a romantic, whimsical feel. Next up was Four Bouquets, and the top pick was a bouquet of pretty pink and peach peonies. Colour palette – check!
Moving on to Four Invitations…now this was a split vote so I decided to pick my fave (#1). This design by Alee & Press is modern and minimalist, but I love the way the abstract scribbles mimic the roses in our gown and the ruffles of our peony bouquet. And finally, Four Cakes. You loved the classic four-tiered beauty by Cake Girls. The pink bows and vintage brooches go perfectly with our theme!
To round out the Inspiration Board I added some splashes of gold, romantic centrepieces and a pair of petal pink Christian Louboutin pumps.
Thanks again for participating!

Four Weddings…Four Cakes!
We’ve reached a sweet spot in our “Four Weddings” journey! Wedding cakes have evolved from traditionally simple, white cakes to bold statements of design. Today more than ever, couples are venturing outside the norm and serving anything from tiers of donuts to mini souffles as wedding cake alternatives.
Check out these links for a quick recap of the previous posts in this series…Post 1 – Four Dresses, Post 2 – Four Bouquets, Post 3 – Four Invitations…then leave a comment below with the number of your favourite wedding cake!
1 – Unique: Tiered crottin cakes garnished with romantic herbs and flowers exude a French country flair.
2 – Classic: Pink fondant bows and silver vintage brooches give this 4-tiered cake a timeless look.
3 – Cupcakes: Monochromatic vanilla cupcakes topped with personalized fondant wafers allow guests to indulge in their own special treat.
4 – Bold: This colourful chocolate rosebud cake looks like it’s straight from the garden!
Tune in soon for the final Four Weddings Inspiration Board created from your votes…
