When we first met with Allena + Jamie, it was clear we’d be a great fit to work together and that it would be a fun year ahead of planning and designing their dream wedding. Always positive and upbeat, their zest for life shone through in every decision made for the wedding, with their top priorities being a fun weekend for their guests and jaw-dropping décor.

The overall design direction was inspired by the ceremony venue – Rainer Gardens. The gardens featured an existing stone structure at the altar, so we designed a lavish floral wall to create a unique and luxurious backdrop for the vows. Despite the unseasonably cold weather for August, the rain held off and the ceremony proceeded outdoors as planned!

Guests made their way to Oasis Centre for the reception, where show-stopping custom witch hazel centrepieces and lighting in morphing tones of pinks, blues and purples brought the Opulent Enchanted Garden theme to life.

Featured on the WedLuxe blog, Allena + Jamie’s wedding was also a top 3 finalist for a 2016 Canadian Special Events Star Award in the Best Wedding Over $75K category!

We first met Tiara when she attended one of our wedding planning workshops, and we were thrilled when she and Ricky decided they wanted our help to ensure their wedding day ran smoothly. You couldn’t meet a more kind or caring couple, and after getting to know their families it came as no surprise why these two are such a great match.

Matrix Hotel in downtown Edmonton served as the backdrop to their special day, with both ceremony and reception held at the venue. Tiara + Ricky chose to do a ‘first look’ and take their photos before the ceremony, setting the tone for a relaxed and fun-filled day. After a delicious meal and some hilarious speeches, guests celebrated until the early hours of the morning with an epic dance party!

Charlotte + Frantz were married in an intimate ceremony at The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald. They wanted to exchange vows in front of their immediate families, sharing the sacred moment with their most important supporters. They recited their own vows, which were so beautiful and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. I feel so honoured to have shared in this special moment with them.

Months later, they would celebrate with an ultra-modern reception at the Art Gallery of Alberta – more to come in Part 2!

This spring we had the honour of providing Wedding Day Management services to Leanna + Mark for their Fairmont Hotel Macdonald wedding.

Leanna was a vision in a classically draped gown topped with an exquisite jeweled bolero by Hayley Paige. After their ‘first look’ photos with Sharon Litchfield, the bridal party made their way to the Empire Terrace for a beautiful outdoor ceremony in front of an intimate group of Leanna + Mark’s family and friends.

The evening was filled with surprise musical performances, including an opera performance by the Master of Ceremonies, and a beautiful violin performance by Mark for his new bride accompanied by his brother on the baby grand piano.
