Nelia and Brennan wanted to celebrate their wedding with a close group of family and friends, and decided on a destination wedding so the festivities could be spread over a weekend. Their love of great wine and warm weather made Kelowna the perfect choice – I mean, who wouldn’t want to be married in a vineyard!?

We arranged for shuttle transportation to take everyone from downtown Kelowna to the ceremony site at Ex Nihilo Winery in Lake Country. Forest fires in the Okanagan region made the view a bit hazy, but it was still a stunningly beautiful backdrop for their vows. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed sparkling wine and passed canapés in the vineyard.

The reception was held at a true gem of a venue – The Laurel Packinghouse in downtown Kelowna. The building is part of the Kelowna Museums Society and its exposed brick, wooden beam ceiling and hardwood floors made it the perfect canvas for an Industrial Glam design. A soft neutral palette of whites, creams, blush and gold added romance to the setting. Lush greenery runners and a stunning hanging greens head table backdrop brought life and vibrancy to the space. Ample candlelight on the tables and café lights strung from the ceiling beams added a warm, welcoming glow to the event.

The four-course meal was one of the best we’ve ever had at a wedding, and that’s all thanks to Details Catering. The perogies appetizer course was a nod to Brennan’s Ukrainian heritage and this was certainly a highlight of the meal. An absolute must-have for Nelia and Brennan was McDonald’s cheeseburgers as a late night snack! Their wishes were fulfilled, and guests munched on the McD’s delicacies while dancing up a storm to the mixes of DJ Invizible.

Arizona is a popular vacation and winter home destination for many Albertans – why not celebrate your wedding in the warm, dry heat with spectacular sunsets and stunning desert backdrops?!

Paula + Sheldon did just that. To celebrate their love and unite their two families, they decided to host a destination wedding experience in one of their favorite locations: Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North. A luxury hotel nestled in the foothills of Pinnacle Peak, this has been a special place since they first met, and was a natural choice for their wedding weekend location.

Friday kicked off the weekend events with an early morning golf tournament at The Boulders Golf Club – one of the top 12 golf resorts in the world. Later that evening, we welcomed guests with a casual Cowboy Cookout at Proof Restaurant overlooking the McDowell Mountains. Attendees were encouraged to wear western attire, and the menu was rich with hearty southwestern favorites.

The wedding day arrived with clear blue skies and sunshine. The ceremony was held outdoors on the Four Seasons Troon Lawn overlooking a picturesque desert scene. Immediately following the ceremony, guests were served drinks and canapés on a nearby terrace while the lawn was transformed for dinner. At the reception guests enjoyed a 4-course meal and several heartfelt toasts. As a surprise for the groom from his bride, we arranged for a spectacular fireworks display timed perfectly after one minute of their first dance outdoors under the stars!

Still brimming with excitement after the fireworks spectacle, guests were ushered into the Ironwood Ballroom for the after-party, where music from top Arizona DJs Desert House Productions filled the ballroom with expectant energy. Flooded with pink, orange and purple lighting, the space was designed to convey a desert sunset, signifying the end to an amazing weekend of events.
