Jasper, Alberta has been a special place throughout Bethany and Mike’s relationship – they even named their beloved pup after the mountain town! So, of course it was a no-brainer that they decided to get married at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.

The glistening teal blue waters of Lake Beauvert provided the perfect backdrop for Bethany and Mike’s classic Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge summer wedding. They exchanged vows on Whistler’s Plateau, with gorgeous garden-inspired florals lining the aisle and altar. The evening celebration was held in the Golf Clubhouse – Tonquin and Spike – where guests dined on long wooden tables adorned with lush tablescapes of cream, peach and soft blush florals and taper candles.

Betty and Harry’s love story led them to Jasper, where they celebrated their wedding with an intimate group of their closest family and friends at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. They said their I Do’s on the Lakefront Ridge, incorporating both their cultures: a Chinese tea ceremony and a Greek crowning ceremony.

We designed a long table dinner outside the Milligan Manor, which encapsulated the feeling of a beautiful backyard wedding in the mountains. What you don’t see in these beautiful photos was the little rain cloud that moved in just 30 minutes before dinner was to start! Luckily, the JBW and Fairmont teams were there to save the al fresco reception and quickly dry off chairs before guests sat down to enjoy a delicious 5-course meal with wine pairings.

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Wedding Planning + Design

Residing in Toronto, Jocelyn and Naheed wanted to host a destination wedding in the majestic Rockies to bring together their loved ones from across the country (and beyond). The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge fit the bill as the perfect venue for their weekend of events.

• The weekend kicked off with a welcome event held in the Golf Clubhouse, complete with live music and a food truck serving sweet treats and traditional East African delights.
• The next morning, Jocelyn and her crew had their Mehndi done while enjoying brunch. Guests joined them on the lawn of the Stanley Thompson Cabin to partake in the Pithi and Mandvo – traditional Ismaili ceremonies held before the wedding to bless the couple with well wishes.
• Everyone donned their best lehengas and Indian suits for the evening Sangeet held in a clearspan tent on Beauvert Plateau. Set right in front of the lake, the colourful decor and attire made for spectacular photos as DJ Double J brought the party!
• Saturday was reserved for an outdoor ceremony held on Whistlers Plateau, with both western and Ismaili rituals. The evening Gala followed in Beauvert Ballroom and featured a 4-course meal, heartfelt toasts. The Rondel Roberts Band and Double J alternated sets keeping guests on the dance floor into the early hours of the morning!
• Sunday morning brunch wrapped up the incredible weekend.

It was certainly challenging planning a multi-event destination wedding during the pandemic (to say the least!), but it all turned out phenomenally. We are especially grateful to Jocelyn, Naheed and their families for being so wonderful to work with and such kind, gracious humans.

Jennifer and Evrhetton envisioned a weekend destination wedding in the mountains to celebrate their love story with family and friends. Of utmost importance was the guest experience, ensuring everyone was taken care of and that it was stress-free and enjoyable. We worked alongside them to plan their dream wedding at one of our favourite venues, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.

Their beloved Danes – Moose and Mountain – joined in on the special day, strolling down the aisle and standing up as “best dogs” for Ev. The weekend culminated in a raging dance party featuring alternating sets by the couple’s favourite band, The Barkells, and DJ Troy from Premiere DJs.

Love radiated throughout Sarah and Andrew’s wedding weekend at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, and that’s a testament to their relaxed personalities and warm, welcoming natures. The weather also showed this couple some love by cooperating to give them a beautiful outdoor ceremony on Whistlers Plateau.

Cory Christopher brought the outdoors inside the Beauvert Room with lush florals and organic elements. He also expertly wove in personal touches that reflected Sarah and Andrew as individuals and as a couple. Moss “mountains” showed guests where to take their seats, pillars displayed childhood objects and photos like an exhibit – a nod to Sarah’s professional career as a curator – a canoe adorned with ferns and greenery held ice cold beer at the bar!

Kailey + Dave were the epitome of elegance on their September wedding day at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Not a bit phased by Mother Nature’s plans for rain and forest fire smoke, they focused on what matters most about a wedding: soaking in every moment of love from their family and friends.

Kailey and her mother spent months planning so many beautiful details for the day, and sourcing décor from as far as the South of France where Kailey spent time visiting Dave the year leading up to the wedding.

The colour scheme reflected natural shades found in the Canadian Rockies, including hues of greys and dusty blues. Wooden harvest tables and vineyard chairs retained just the right amount of rustic flair, while gold geometric and marble accents added modern elements to the design.

Following a romantic ceremony set in front of an impressive stone fireplace in the Main Lodge, the couple took off for photos in Kailey’s father’s Triumph TR6 convertible! The night ended with the ultimate comfort food inspired by the newlyweds’ initials: deluxe “KD” mac ‘n’ cheese.

Clearly we aren’t the only ones who were wowed by this wedding.
